Ask HN: Do you subscribe to any magazines/publications
I am curious because I’ve been buying The Economist semi-frequently recently and am looking for recommendations for other magazines to read.
- andsoitis 8mo agoEconomist, MIT Technology Review, The New Yorker, and Architectural Digest.
- PaulHoule 8mo agoFunny how short the list is going to be. We subscribe to The Economist, I thought about adding The New Yorker but my wife vetoed it.
- jjgreen 8mo agoCahiers du Cinéma, still the best writing on cinema: you have to be able to read French of course. I get the paper edition (there are a few places in London) but electronic versions are available: https://www.cahiersducinema.com/ https://www.cahiersducinema.com/
- alfyboy 8mo agoAlso, I was looking into London Review of Books. I like The Economist, but find it can be a bit lacking on culture. Any experiences with LRB?
- marysminefnuf 8mo agotime is all in print. too many paywalls online. I really only get links from archive and hn gift links anymore. so much news I dont even click on because I know its just a paywall. I feel like people dont read a whole lot of news anymore because of them
