The author of the article has a bachelor's degree in economics[1], worked as a product manager (not a dev) and only started using GitHub[2] in 2025 when they were laid off[3].

- zipy124 8mo agoWhilst I won't comment on this specific person, one of the best programmers I've met has a law degree, so I wouldn't use their degree against them. People can have many interests and skills.
- straydusk 8mo agoI've written code since 2012, I just didn't put it online. It was a lot harder, so all my code was written internally, at work. But sure, go with the ad hominem.
