- DustinEchoes 9mo agoHope Anthropic keeps it up. They clearly struck a nerve.
- snihalani 9mo agoI actually think this is co-operated behind the scenes and intentional marketing.
- cal_dent 9mo agoYou'd think that by now we would stop attaching ideas around morality to corporate organisation. open ai isn't good or bad, anthropic isn't either. they function as a means to generate profit and get as much market share as legally allowed. Anthropic are going about this by pretending to be the good guys in the room but its all marketing and nothing else. We've gone down this part so often and yet people still take it as face value. Mind boggling
- bigyabai 9mo agoSam knows he can lean into the sports team dynamic to get people rooting for him. He certainly learned a thing or two from his time on HN, that's for sure.

- powera 9mo agoThe fact that Altman is so offended about Anthropic ads that don't mention OpenAI is very revealing about his mindset.
- josezarazua 9mo agoThe ads are funny: https://youtu.be/De-_wQpKw0s https://youtu.be/De-_wQpKw0s https://youtu.be/FBSam25u8O4 https://youtu.be/FBSam25u8O4 https://youtu.be/3sVD3aG_azw https://youtu.be/3sVD3aG_azw
- f30e3dfed1c9 9mo agoThey are funny but I wish people still used copyeditors. It's weird to say "the deadline for this essay is due today." It should be either "the deadline for this essay is today" or better, just "this essay is due today."
- oriettaxx 9mo agoahhahhm "but we also feel strongly that we need to bring AI to billions of people who can’t pay for subscriptions" yes, of course... the best is this one "We are committed to broad, democratic decision making" p.s. "One authoritarian company won't get us there on their own", ...ohhh
