- conormccarter 8mo agoHydrargyrum medium-src iodide lamps are an alternative (artificial sun lights for movie sets), but you'll want a good AC unit in your office
- kens 8mo agoI thought hydragyrum was a made-up word, but it's the Latin word for mercury, which explains the Hg chemical symbol. (Just in case anyone finds this interesting.)
- MostlyStable 8mo agoVery curious why you want to avoid LEDs
- piskov 8mo agoNo infrared spectrum https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-026-35389-6 https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-026-35389-6
- carsoon 8mo agoYou can buy IR and UV leds. All high end grow lights have these for plants. Low quality cheap led products won't include them but that is nothing to do with LEDs themselves that is just consumer preference and price conformance.
- piskov 8mo agoI just use a few incandescent lights in every room to fill the “blancs” of LEDs spectrum
