Sam Altman felt "useless" next to Codex
- helloplanets 8mo agoHaven't LLMs been good at bouncing off ideas since GPT-4? Coming up with feature ideas doesn't seem to have much to do with programming power tools. But sending off a SotA LLM agent to do research for 30 min+ to gather information, related concepts, products, etc, on any idea is insanely effective for sure. And something that hasn't been possible for all that long, at this level of quality.

- bigbuppo 8mo agoI guess if there's one good thing about the AI hype bubble it's that the AI taught Sam Altman that he's actually useless. Now if the people giving him money would learn that we'd all be better off.

- saaaaaam 8mo agoHis follow up tweet is… odd. “I am sure we will figure out much better and more interesting ways to spend our time, and amazing new ways to be useful to each other, but I am feeling nostalgic for the present.” I don’t know why, but this just sounds very fake and ‘emoting by numbers’.
