Tl;dr
- User was playing with OpenClaw (Clawdbot)
- It leaked Ethereum private key on stream
- Someone got the private key
- (around 11 minutes later) That person created a crypto coin in user's name
- That person posted the link to various telegram groups (speculation)
- People thought it was real and purchased it ($17k worth)
- xenospn 9mo agoThe most bizarre thing to me is why do people spend money on coins that they’ve never heard of or seen? Isn’t everything in crypto a scam by default until proven otherwise? Also, has anything ever been proven otherwise?
- faustozampa 9mo agoMore like 250k worth. We live in crazy times... where you could be following a random stream and make/steal 70k with no consequences. For some reasons people on the streets get killed for robbing 50dollars but online they are dumbasses
