Show HN: OpenVideo – A self-hostable, open-source video editor in the browser
Open-source, browser-based video editor inspired by CapCut. Timeline editing, runs on modern web APIs, and can be self-hosted. Looking for feedback from devs and video folks.
- popalchemist 8mo agoWhat is the underlying API for serializing/deserializing timeline state? is it a custom API/schema, or did you use an existing mature API?
- snapmotion 9mo agoHappy to answer questions. We’re especially interested in feedback around performance, timeline UX, and browser limitations for video editing.

- snapmotion 8mo ago1. We track user cpu and memory usage. we slow down based on it. 2. It renders full client side 3. It can be self-hosted already. Real-time is not close yet, we are focusing agent skills.
