I don’t think the job is done, but I do suspect it’s going to turn into something similar to like medicine, finance and law. Much more competitive, bigger separation between like top salaries and median salaries. Harder requirements. The days of going to code school and getting a $150k salary are done. Interestingly we’ll probably never be as credentialed as those industries, but it will probably be like the environment described in dramas. Relatively “easy” to get a job if you’re smart, but oppressive up or out riff days every six months.
