Show HN: StarSeeker – Find early signals from Reddit, X, and XHS comments
- xkbear 8mo agoI built StarSeeker, an open-source Chrome extension that exports comments from Reddit (primary), Xiaohongshu, and X, and runs GPT-powered analysis using your own API key. The motivation came from my own workflow as a product builder and researcher. I realized that the most valuable signals are often hidden in comment sections — pain points, emerging trends, and controversial opinions — especially on Reddit. But reading and organizing hundreds of comments manually is extremely inefficient. StarSeeker helps with: - Exporting comments with post title and source (Reddit first, then Xiaohongshu and X) - Running topic clustering and insight extraction with GPT - Producing structured data for content, product, and market research The extension is fully open-source, does not collect any user data, and all API requests go directly to OpenAI using the user’s own API key.
