- WalterBright 10mo agoThe group of people who have long arrest records.
- direwolf20 10mo agoSo when someone is arrested, that makes them more likely to do crime in the future, so they should be preemptively jailed even if they didn't do a crime this time?
- WalterBright 10mo ago> that makes them more likely to do crime in the future Yes. One's past behavior is a strong predictor of future behavior. > so they should be preemptively jailed even if they didn't do a crime this time? No, it means that each successive conviction should result in a longer prison sentence.
- mrguyorama 10mo agoThree strikes laws ended crime right?
- WalterBright 9mo agoThe results are debated, as there are many factors at work. Nobody thought or suggested it would end crime - just reduce it.
- mminer237 10mo agoCriminals? I'm not sure what you're looking for.
