Having seem some relative's houses, IMO hoarding is basically undiagnosed or undertreated ADHD.
- gesis 9mo agoMy mom is a hoarder. It's not ADHD, it's an anxiety disorder. The two things can coexist, but the underlying cause of the hoarding [in most instances, definitely with my mom] is anxiety related to "losing" the items. This is why you see hoarding triggered by loss so often.
