The Dems dont actually do much to reach those rural Americans though.
- therobots927 9mo agoThat’s because they don’t appear to actually be trying to win. They appear to exist for the sole purpose of playing the good cop to the republican bad cop.
- throwaway422432 9mo agoBoth sides are as bad as each other. Sure there may be a few individuals who truly stand for something and would sacrifice everything to make some change, but the majority don't and in many cases will never have the power or opportunity to bring about change. Why? They're individuals who above all look to secure the steady job that will provide the standard of living they aspire to. Unless someone can self-fund and run as an independent, they are beholden to those who provide the funds required to run for office and also have to pander to whichever party put then on the ticket.

- jayd16 9mo agoThey won't come out and say but they just want a "tough guy" to follow. Is anyone going to admit they voted for Trump because of his clear policies or clean execution, or sober leadership?
- Throaway1982 9mo agoPeople voted for Trump because he was the only person who actually represented a change from the establishment. I wouldn't have voted for him (im Canadian), but I totally understand the frustration people feel with the political status quo.
