Humans are terrible at discerning the truth and tend to swing toward extreme opinions. Look at the stock market - always frothy or fearful, but very rarely in the sensible middle. The same is true of AI. It's very useful, but about as world changing as something like the word processor. Not as useful nor as disruptive as the internet by a long shot. I believe that to be the truth. The question is how long it will take for the world to realize this.
