FTFA: "The unemployment rate in the U.S. has decreased to 4.4% in December 2025, down from 4.5% in November. This decline follows a period of rising rates, with the economy adding just 50,000 jobs in December, indicating a slowdown in job growth. The labor market is showing signs of stabilization, with the broader U-6 unemployment rate easing to 8.4%." Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis
