Hopefully, the browser Bluetooth API will receive more support (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/Web_Bluetooth_API https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/Web_Bluetoo...). Web-based PWAs are more suitable because apps are subject to app store censorship.
- curtisblaine 9mo agoCan PWAs run (and interact with Bluetooth) in the background? Edit: no they can't, so PWA would be not very useful at this.
- twism 9mo agoCould still work in some cases where a certain amount of users are in and out of the website and in proximity e.g. protests
- ninalanyon 9mo agoDoesn't help if internet is down.
- twism 9mo agoweb apps can work offline
