Ask HN: What are some LLM shibboleths?
The most reliable one I see and hear all the time, is:
"It's not X. It's Y."
or
"This is not X. It's Y."
Also when something is misspelled by a human such as "IOUS" and "read" incorrectly by a synthetic digital twin as "I O U S" instead of "IOUs." And sometimes a word is accented incorrectly.
I hope these shibboleths stay, because they at least alert me to sloppily edited AI.

For example https://www.nytimes.com/2025/09/18/magazine/chatgpt-dash-hyphen-writing-communication.html https://www.nytimes.com/2025/09/18/magazine/chatgpt-dash-hyp... Based on personal experience, emoji use, but I’d have to run the numbers on what kind of emoji use. Certainly bulleted lists with emoji as the bullets. Edit: a comment on https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=46663785 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=46663785 made me remember, again based on personal experience: lists where every item has its first few words bolded.
