Good overview, though I wish they'd balanced it out with some of the negatives.
- jtreminio 14y agoIt takes an adult sense of responsibility to be able to work effectively from home; You miss some of the human interaction you'd get from working in an office; Online relationships aren't as strong as real-life relationships; You have to be mindful of how to correctly deduct living space/utilities for taxes I've worked from home for a bit now. I quite enjoy no longer having to sit in a car for 2 hours a day. That's 40 hours a week I've gained back.
- clueless123 14y agoFor me the hardest thing of working at home, is that it makes it very hard to spend quality time with the family as you end up "working" at all sorts of times, something that otherwise you would have waited till next day at the office. IMHO, if you want to have a healthy family life, This is a serious issue.
- mhurron 14y agoThat's really your problem. Working from home still requires you to manage your time. You should get up, have a set time you work and a specific time you are done. When you are done for the day, you should stay done for the day. Did you find yourself wandering into work at midnight when you had to go into an office? Probably not, so why are you doing it now?

- jtreminio 14y agoMeant 40 hours a month! Sorry.
- breckenedge 14y agoThe infographic is titled the 'perks' of working from home, not the 'unbiased analysis of working from home'. You could make your own inforgraphic about the negatives to balance things out, or just list them out here.
