College junior here. I am very glad to have taken as many AP classes as I have. I took 9 AP tests and did well enough on them to get credit for all of them them at my top 25 university. I started college with around 45 credits. More importantly, I started with nearly every general education requirement fulfilled. This is what made it possible for me to finish all of the major requirements for my Computer Science degree in my first two years and then also pursue my school's fairly intensive two year business program while taking more CS classes on the side. AP may have its flaws, but it has allowed me to get much more out of college than I would have been able to otherwise.
