It's not exactly a nit. Greenspun's worldview has been proven wrong for two centuries. Also, Greenspun seems not to be aware that wealth is correlated with improved environmental conditions after a certain point. If this short post had something to offer besides unnuanced hostility, I might be more inclined to forgive its errors.
