Device that may be tied to "Havana Syndrome" obtained by U.S. government
- octaane 9mo agoThis is an unconfirmed rumor. This should not be posted here.
- t-3 9mo agoI had a strong knee-jerk reaction that this is a manufactured pretext for Trump's next plans in the Caribbean. I hope I'm wrong, but at the same time Havana Syndrome sounds way too much like "paranoids from the CIA get tinnitus and blame Russia".
- bediger4000 9mo agoI too had such a reaction. It doesn't help that the website is CBS, owned by a pro-Trump oligarch, and headed up by a pro-Trump ideologue who has already spiked a big story critical of Trump.
- damion6 9mo agoThe device is being used in America against citizens. It is 80 year old tech. As reported by unesco
- altairprime 9mo agoRumors aren’t news. Please repost when the rumor (“may be”) is formally stated as newsworthy fact by the U.S. government. Until then, this is (as noted below) vastly more likely to end in a banal realization of fabricated pretext — but, since there’s no news here yet either way, to be sure it’s too soon to post it to HN.
