I've been a heavy emdash user for decades. I have never and will never pass AI writing off as my own -- it defeats the whole purpose for me. Please realize that many of us have been using them for a long time. I really don't want to stop.
- kgarten 9mo agoI'm also not saying that the parent is AI generated. Just, that the text triggered for me my "Might be AI" alert. It's not only the em dash but the combination of em dash and rules of three (plus a couple of other hints).
- kylecazar 9mo agoI get it, and for all I know this may actually be AI generated. Mine was as much a plea to the masses. But it's a lost cause, I find myself editing to explicitly sound human all the time now. I've had more than one person think my personal communication was written by an LLM. It's such a strange and unexpected problem to have.
