I recently inherited my grandfather's typewriter that he inherited from his father (circa 1940). And Id like to put it to good use. My wife challenged me to make a project. Now Im getting my wheels turning with a new project to type and ship letters custom made with 280 chars and some other personal touches.
- adastra22 9mo agoThe very different idea that came to my mind is to electro-mechanically wire up the keys, and hook it up to an LLM. You type something, then it types back. Like Tom Riddle's diary.
- yuppiepuppie 9mo agoDont think this hasnt crossed my mind! ;) I also like the idea of doing elaborate ascii art with a type writer.
