Vista was bad enough.
- halapro 10mo agoVista was not bad, it's just that you tried running it on a 128MB computer from 2002. Vista was fantastic on so many levels but people were just not ready for it. People mocked Vista's permission prompts, something that every OS has now. That alone should tell you how misplaced your hate is.
- nephihaha 10mo agoMine was a bit later than 2002, but it was dreadful. I practically moved over straight away to the new iteration.
- Marsymars 10mo agoYeah, I needed >2gb of RAM at the time and ran Windows XP x64... 64-bit Vista was a significant improvement over the x64 version of XP.
- Aldipower 10mo agoI ran it on an 2005 computer in 2005. And I remember it was very slow. Win7 was good then, 3 years later.
- drewfax 10mo agoVista changed the Windows security upside down. It brought all the modern kernel features Windows embraced upon. But they went overboard with graphics that average consumer hardware was not ready for. Despite that I don't remember it came with any bloatware like Windows 10 and 11.
