We had kings to make our laws unilaterally without parliamentary scrutiny.
- sageikosa 14y agoNot in the US of A. About 1.75 centuries elapsed between 1776 (when the US said a farewell to kings) and 1958 (when the predecessor committee was established). I guess science in the United States just progressed without non-scientific scrutiny during that time. At least for the topic at hand.
