I remember reading about how Venezuela had an internet blackout preceding US attack, presumably the blackout was an attack by US "cyber". Ah, here we are. https://securitybrief.co.uk/story/us-cyber-attack-on-venezuela-exposes-cni-vulnerabilities https://securitybrief.co.uk/story/us-cyber-attack-on-venezue...
The discussion here assumes that the Iranian government is responsible for this blackout. I actually don't understand enough about network routing to undestand the OP dashboard linked to or be able to answer this question, but could it instead be the work of an opponent preparing to attack Iran?

- xenospn 9mo agoSure thing. I’m sure Israel also caused hyperinflation and stopped the rain from falling, right?

- xenospn 9mo agoSo you think all Iranians are just very stupid simpletons who can be convinced to go risk their lives protesting the government that easily? All because some Israelis told them to?

- xenospn 9mo agoCan you elaborate? How exactly is this being generated? Where are the videos and images coming from? Is the Zionist propaganda also blocking all internet in Iran?
- cramsession 9mo agoThis is a good account for coverage: https://x.com/AryJeay/status/2009336400198484306 https://x.com/AryJeay/status/2009336400198484306 Some protests are also pro Iranian government, but being framed as anti: https://x.com/DropSiteNews/status/2009148051663815165 https://x.com/DropSiteNews/status/2009148051663815165 And this was Tel Aviv two days ago: https://x.com/ZahraHamidia/status/2008620128351715644 https://x.com/ZahraHamidia/status/2008620128351715644 Much bigger protests in Israel, but without the propaganda spin and artificial reach.
- xenospn 9mo agoNice accounts you got there. Obvious trolling.
- cramsession 9mo agoDropSite news is not a troll, and neither are the other accounts. They’ve done some of the best reporting about Gaza available.
- y0ssar1an 9mo agohow do you know?
- cramsession 9mo agoI know actual Iranians.
- kyboren 9mo agoKhamenei and Pakpour?
- cramsession 9mo agoI mean, that would be cool but no, just regular people.
- murat124 9mo agooh, you know Cyrus?
- GaggiX 9mo agoWhen the internet will be working again I will show your comment to my friend in Iran, I think he will find it hilarious.
- reissbaker 9mo agoWow, that's a lot of Israeli operatives. Sounds like there are more Mossad agents living in Iran than there are Israelis living in Israel!
- cramsession 9mo agoI mean, it’s not a lot. That’s the whole point. There’s not “massive protests”. Pure fiction.
- reissbaker 9mo agoIf there weren't protests, Iran wouldn't have cut the internet. And besides, the BBC has videos of them: https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cgm4y0ewe93o https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cgm4y0ewe93o

- GaggiX 9mo agoIran has shut down the internet nationwide several times before, this is nothing new when there are protests.
- cosmicgadget 9mo agoSeems more likely that an authoritarian regime is suppressing protests. Unless there has been a troop buildup of which I am unaware, there's no imminent invasion.
