OP's main argument is that Coffeezilla has shifted his focus away from crypto scams into other unrelated areas, and that he tends to report on scams only after they have already collapsed.
Maybe that's not what OP wants out of Coffeezilla, but I don't see how it makes the guy "overrated." He has a knack for understanding and explaining conspiracies in a grounded, level-headed and factual way. That is extremely valuable in today's media environment.
- jerlam 10mo agoCoffeezilla was probably lucky in that the initial crypto scams he investigated were so public and blatant, there was so much obvious evidence and the scammers were often foolish enough to talk to him on the record.
- delaminator 10mo agoHe broke the SafeMoon story before it collapsed from $8bn market cap in 2022 which lead to the arrest of the people behind it. Now he is more of a presenter of other people’s work. e.g. MegaLad’s Honey Scam video. People remember it as CoffeeZilla’s story.
