I see two problems here: 1) Facial age checks seem hackable. I can easily put a filter in front of my camera output and make myself look however I want. 2) Even if the age checks work, a 15 year old can talk to a 9 year old. That is better than adults talking to 9 year olds, but not by much. This looks like one of those things that have a good intent, but aren't really solving the problem.
