Ask HN: Do people splurge when they are unhappy in a high paying job?
Maybe it's a coping mechanism for unrewarding but high paying work?

- justchad 10mo agoI know I did. I always looked for random things to buy even though I hate owning things.
- JohnFen 10mo agoSome do, some don't. I don't think it has much to do with whether or not their job is high-paying, although obviously a wealthier person has a lot more money to waste.
