If they're going to have .onion and .p2p addresses, they should also add Yggdrasil. Yggdrasil is easier to have always running in the background so I don't have to toggle it on just to access AA.
EDIT: Never mind, I forgot how the Tor software works. I still think also having Yggdrasil would be nice, though.
- mmooss 9mo agoHow do you access Yggdrasil? .onion addresses require downloading a web browser.
- tremon 9mo agoI access .onion addresses from the same browser I'm typing this comment in. You need a Tor proxy, but other than that it's regular http traffic.
- MarsIronPI 9mo agoOh I forgot that running Tor doesn't automatically route traffic through it. My mistake, sorry.
- MarsIronPI 9mo agoYggdrasil provides an IPv6 address in a formerly reserved and therefore unused block, so you just run Yggdrasil and visit the IPv6 address.
- mmooss 9mo agoHow do you run Yggdrasil? Explain it like I'm an end-user who has no idea what IP is, much less IPv6. My point is, how many users would have access to something on Yggdrasil? How many could - what skill is required?
- MarsIronPI 9mo agoFair, it's not end-user-ready. But they should support it; it's a cool platform and it doesn't take much work to set up on their end.
