"HP-UX hits end-of-life today, and I'm sad"
- wolvoleo 10mo agoI still have one too! A 712/80 IIRC. Pretty light box but the good thing is that it's physically light as well. It doesn't even have a CPU cooler and the HDD bracket is made of styrofoam lol. But it still works. I also still have a 68000 HPUX box too!
- kjs3 10mo agoI have a pretty nifty HPPA box I still use...it just happens to have a big logic analyzer attached to it[1]. [1] HP 16702A
- musicale 10mo agoThat seems like a good support lifetime. macOS 26 is the last version of macOS which will run on x86 systems, which Apple sold until 2023. (Security patches will probably go through 2028 though?)
- pjmlp 10mo agoHP-UX was my first experience with containerized applications, thanks to Vault, back in 1999.
