Perhaps it is just population feeling that previously elected democratic leadership did not do their jobs very well. And I would tend to agree. When they then decide to instead vote for someone who promises to do better it is "populism". I think lot stems from the reality that many don't see the "plenty" themselves that is spend in many cases spend on others. Or notice that somehow "plenty" comes from ever increasing debt...
