I've decided to ditch CF because Wrangler is deployed via NPM and I cannot bear NodeJS and Microsoft NPM anymore. I get the impression this can't be run without NodeJS right now?

Conclusion shared. No Node required — the runtime is pure Rust + V8. The only transformation we do is transpilation for TS code.
