Protip: If you're coming up with a name for your new app, don't choose such a ubiquitous name as "The Magazine".
An effective SEO strategy, mobile or web, will be a nightmare to develop/implement.
- mlchild 14y agoCounterpoint: maybe just name it what you think is the best name and assume you'll be able to figure out the rest.
- sequoia 14y agoHeh... my primary objection to the name "the magazine" is how unbelievably pompous it is. It implies that the magazine is a new concept that he created. Perhaps he can get a software patent on this new- what do you call it "mak-ah-seen" thing. :)

Not really, it's more like The Transit App or Mail.app. Neither entity is trying to act like they invented transit or mailing. It's just a way of keeping it simple. IMO it's significantly more pompous to shit all over something because of the name.
