I wonder what a 3D version (http://www.ibiblio.org/e-notes/Life/Game.htm http://www.ibiblio.org/e-notes/Life/Game.htm) of a continuous game of life would look like... could similar cell-like structures emerge with these kind of rules also in 3D.
