- ericmcer 10mo agoWhat? Africa will dominate Silicon Valley using... SSR? lol Even if SSR somehow was the key to taking over tech scenes in developing nations, it just results in faster initial paint but can often involve more data moving over the wire. I would imagine developing areas are more hamstrung by bad networks than the inability to get a device that can run some JS.
- AuthAuth 10mo agoWont the more likely outcome be that African cities grow, datacenters and internet infra becomes more available and mobile compute catches up. If you go back and rebuild everything like its 1999 by the time you're finished they'll have caught up and be demanding current web applications.
