It's funny how quick they are to make a statement about this, when it's one of their guys (Breton), but the many employees at the ICC, they have to complain in the media about being effectively barred from using financial services and despite that, for them they haven't put out a press release even now.

- impossiblefork 9mo agoSure, but when you're hosting an international institution you should be expected to ensure circumstances that allow it to function. Sanctions aren't like normal boycotts and banks aren't normally allowed to terminate the accounts of law-abiding people.
- spwa4 9mo agoThe UN has become a death trap for politician's careers, and so the EU and the UN are no longer friends. Why? The US defunded the UN ... and, much less reported, the EU largely followed suit. And yes, these organizations defend the careers of their previous members. Of course. Plus most of the people with real positions there make Musk look like an altruistic genuinely kind person, so these discussions aren't nice. I would expect worse explosions in the future. Much worse.
