  GNU Anything tends to exist for ideological reasons and the technical side often gets a pass.

    Sure, I have no problem with projects that are political first and foremost. I just wish they'd be honest about priorities. If technical function and correctness is going to take a back seat to ideological purity then they owe it to their users to make this clear up front.
