Now y'all finally know what it's like to be vegetarian (I'm not one). So many parallels. And they are expected to relatively keep quiet about it and not scream about things like
> Raping the planet, spending trillions on toxic, unrecyclable equipment while blowing up society
Because screaming anything like that immediately gets them treated as social pariahs. Even though it applies even harder to modern industrialized meat consumption than to AI usage.
Overton window and all that.
- bdangubic 10mo ago> And they are expected to relatively keep quiet about it and not scream about things like I’ve never met a vegetarian who is able to keep quiet about being one but I still got like 30 years left on Earth to meet one :)
- mvs4870 10mo agoUnless you ask everyone you meet what their diet is you don’t actually know if what you just wrote is true.
- bdangubic 10mo agoI was being facetious but I will do this from here on out to make sure I got this covered. I always assumed - if I meet a vegeterian / vegan, they will tell me that within 48 seconds - if that doesn’t happen they are not vegeterian / vegan moving forward I will ask the 2nd group to make sure they eat food that had parents :)
- deaux 10mo agoI've never met a person who says no vegetarian keeps quiet about it who is able to keep quiet about it, but I still got like 30 years left on Earth to meet one :)
- dr_kretyn 10mo agoOut of curiosity, is there anything in particular you don't like about people not wanting to eat meat? Kind of it sounds like maybe you had an unpleasant interaction. Is that your main reason that "they" are obnoxious about not eating meat?
