Yes, I do realize that .crx plugins can no longer be installed via the web (I don't know when Chrome made that change, but it's a relatively recent change), so if you're interested in trying it out, let me know (e-mail in my profile) and I can send you a unpackaged version to install in developer mode to test out.
- nzmsv 14y agoYou just download the CRX and then drag it into an open Extensions tab. This works, but is completely unintuitive.
- Pwnguinz 14y agoDid not know that at all, thanks :O!
- andrewcooke 14y agofor what i want, it needs to be private, and associated with user tags (which means some logic to identify usernames). i think it's very unlikely your code (or any general annotation-sharing program) will do that, but thanks for the offer!
- Pwnguinz 14y agoActually, private sharing is in the works :). Once most of the core functionality is in, I'll be posting a Show HN topic for it! Re: Associating with users, perhaps you can utilise the #hashtag functionality to tag other users by their HN username? (Yes, another functionality that is "under development"... Heh) Or did you want to see this be done automatically for HN users?
