Neither party has done much trust-busting recently [1], and farmers specifically call out the monopolies squeezing them in the video. It seems you're basing you assertion, that they don't know who their economic enemies are, on mistaken stereotypes.
[1] But one party is big on rhetoric, and has delivered some concrete followup, on promises to disadvantage the farmers whose ignorance you're asserting: https://www.cnbc.com/2023/11/05/how-bidens-sba-is-doing-on-getting-loans-to-minority-entrepreneurs.html https://www.cnbc.com/2023/11/05/how-bidens-sba-is-doing-on-g...
And, more broadly speaking, the ideology that party promotes has disadvantaged them in many other areas as well: https://www.compactmag.com/article/the-lost-generation/ https://www.compactmag.com/article/the-lost-generation/
- tim-tday 10mo agoThe problem farmers are facing is that prices of their goods cratered this year due to reduced demand caused directly by retaliatory tariffs on all their goods. A trade war orchestrated by the person they voted for and who is waging a trade war nobody asked for or needs.
- like_any_other 10mo agoHigher prices are no good if all your suppliers react by raising their prices. Which is exactly what they have been doing, as the video explains.
