Just tell whatever EU country to discard their ID card system?.. Denmark has no ID card for example. It might be the only one in the EU but it's not a problem.

Denmark has no ID card for example. It might be the only one in the EU but it's not a problem. Noone is expected to to produce a proof of person on the spot to police here
