In the aristocracy's defense, we voted for this.
- Zigurd 11mo agoWithout taking money out of politics, the assertion that "we" are to blame has to assume advertising and influence peddling doesn't work.
- cosmicgadget 11mo agoWe can be subject to influence and still remain responsible for our own actions.
- Zigurd 11mo agoEven if we had the perfect combination of public funding and low small dollar donation limits we would still need discernment and to take responsibility for our votes. Nevertheless, getting big money donations out of politics would be a big improvement.
