- SilverElfin 10mo agoYes this is true. But it was already a problem that individual companies are as powerful as nations. No company should be worth a trillion dollars. It distorts the market and there can’t be fair competition against these mega corps.
- jauntywundrkind 10mo agothey're also not as constrained as nations are to act or spend money. and are often capable of situating their matters in favorable jurisdictions. or (recently again) sowing dissolution against established states or unions.
- m4ck_ 10mo agobillionaires are effectively stateless, governments should treat them as major security risks IMO. personally I have money on elon launching rockets at someone after coming out of a bad k-hole. I will admit, his tolerance for rhino ket is admirable.

- trolleski 10mo agoThis one is s-h-a-r-p! Is it just me or does it feel like Kabuki so that that can do 'something' about it, so that the tech lords can get back into the shadows?
