The main problem with building a custom ROM for the G2x is that NVIDIA will not release the Tegra2 GPU drivers to the community. So unless LG releases an official ICS version, there is no way for third party devs to get their hands on the custom driver. There are already ICS custom ROMs without GPU graphics acceleration for the G2x, and they don't work well. For example, when trying to use the browser, the screen will flicker and sometimes go black.
