Show HN: MethodsAgent – Solves "I can build but can't sell" for founders
what is MethodsAgent?
It gives you domain-specific AI agents that turn proven playbooks (like copy frameworks, AARRR metrics, or Jobs-to-be-Done) into actual execution-ready assets. Instead of getting generic advice, you get verified output—landing page copy, cold outreach scripts, and funnel strategies—based on 50+ curated marketing frameworks. Think of it as a "Cursor for Marketing".
Why I built it?
I’m a builder who has spent the last 5 years obsessively collecting over 1,000 frameworks. But even with that library, I found myself spending 40+ hours trying to learn what experts already knew, or relying on generic ChatGPT answers that lacked depth. I built this because I wanted instant access to expert-level marketing execution without hiring a $5k/mo consultant or spending months learning a new domain.
The pain it solves?
Founders and indie hackers often build great products but get stuck at marketing... We know how to build, but we struggle to sell because we lack the domain expertise. MethodsAgent bridges that gap by giving you the "methods" of experts, instantly applied to your specific product.
I’m not looking for upvotes, but honest feedback.
Does the output feel more actionable than standard LLMs?
Which marketing frameworks would you actually use right now?
Thanks!
- apothegm 11mo agoI find it very hard to believe anyone who claims their AI tool “doesn’t hallucinate”. And how would on accomplish that?
- pierremouchan 10mo agou're right to be skeptical ;) zero hallucinations is a strong claim... However, I minimize it structurally by treating the LLM as a reasoning engine, not a knowledge base. Instead of letting the model "guess" based on training data, we constrain it to a RAG pipeline backed by 50+ marketing frameworks (like Blue Ocean, Jobs-to-be-Done, etc.). The agent constructs answers only from this retrieved context. If the answer isn't in the playbook, it’s instructed to ask clarifying questions rather than invent facts! It has proven to be really good beside other LLM like chatGPT (and I also tweak it every day by playing with prompting, temperature, topK etc)
