One of the craziest bugs I have had in C++ was due to auto, and it would only trigger when Trump would announce tariffs. It would have been completely preventable if I had paid full attention to my IDE feedback or the correct compiler flags were set.

- ajoseps 10mo agothis sounds hilarious, please do tell. Does it relate to volatility spikes when tariffs are announced and some unexpected overflow?
- gpderetta 10mo agoyes, increased message count because of volatility went over 2*31. The message counter was 64 bit, but a local temporary variable used to read the counter was defined as auto counter = 0;
