GoCardless (YC S11) is hiring front-end engineers in London

We are looking for a talented & ambitious engineer to lead our front-end development. You will be working closely with designers and back-end developers on all aspects of our product. Our front-end is built using Backbone, which is written in CoffeeScript, and we are conducting unit testing with Buster JS. On a day-to-day basis, you will be: - Architecting large parts of our front end stack and building out our JavaScript testing infrastructure - Building responsive, mobile-optimised checkout pages to optimise payment conversion on all devices - Figuring out new ways to efficiently display large data sets to help our merchants keep track of their finances REQUIREMENTS: - Expert knowledge of JavaScript and its runtimes - Experience with frameworks such as Backbone and Ember.js - A good grounding in both unit & integration testing BONUS POINTS FOR: - Active participation in building open source software - Experience writing cross domain third-party JavaScript applications - Passion for implementing beautiful, engaging user experiences - Dedication to unit testing, code review and code quality, both using existing tools and building your own solutions We have roles for experienced & more junior developers - the salary is extremely competitive and will depend on experience & ability.
