Huh? He had ALREADY written his library before he started optimizing.
He even says that the profiler didn't show much, because he had all parsing code inside one big function.
- icebraining 14y agoNo, those were just the optimizations he listed, he never said he hadn't optimize before.

- icebraining 14y agoBut he does: that's what his "benchmark drive development" is all about. He even starts by benchmarking an empty function!
