A pay-to-scrape AI licensing standard is now official
- tonetegeatinst 11mo agoThis is interesting in theory....but will probably help capture markets for those with money. You can't have a new search or open source AI if you can't afford to pay scraping fee's.
- theamk 11mo agoDirect link: https://rslstandard.org/ https://rslstandard.org/ it's another robots.txt-like standard, with no teeth, so I'd expect it would be as effective as robots.txt ever was, which is: "every AI will ignore it" Renting few residential proxy IPs and faking some user agent is way cheaper than paying any fees.
