Which of the four lines of dialogue do you feel misrepresents the situation? Line 1 is the premise of the OP; that's why it's "ironic". Line 2 is what people feel the situation is, which is why the backlash in TFA is supported by a decent chunk of voters. Line 3 is just describing the reaction, that they will try to change the situation from line 2. Line 4 is essentially the post above mine.
